Surah Al-Ikhlas

Qul huwa Allahu ahad. Allahus-samad. Lam yalid wa lam yulad. Wa lam yakul-lahu kufuwan ahad.

Say, He is Allah, [who is] One, Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, nor is there to Him any equivalent.

Surah 112

My Lord, help me to remember You, to give thanks to You, and to worship You in the best of manners.

We return, repentant, worshipping, and praising our Lord.

Sahih al-Bukhari 1797, Sahih Muslim 1345

Surah Al-Falaq

Qul a'udhu bi rabbil-falaq. Min sharri ma khalaq. Wa min sharri ghasiqin idha waqab. Wa min sharrin-naffathati fil-'uqad. Wa min sharri hasidin idha hasad.

Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak, from the evil of that which He created, and from the evil of darkness when it settles, and from the evil of the blowers in knots, and from the evil of an envier when he envies.

Surah 113

Ayat al-Kursi

Allahu la ilaha illa huwa, al-hayyul-qayyum. La ta'khudhuhu sinatun wa la nawm. Lahu ma fis-samawati wa ma fil-ard. Man dhal-ladhi yashfa'u 'indahu illa bi-idhnih.

Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.

Quran 2:255

Surah An-Nas

Qul a'udhu bi rabbin-nas. Malikin-nas. Ilahin-nas. Min sharril-waswasil-khannas. Alladhi yuwaswisu fi sudurin-nas. Minal-jinnati wan-nas.

Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, the Sovereign of mankind, the God of mankind, from the evil of the retreating whisperer who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind, from among the jinn and mankind.

Surah 114

Dua of Divine Subjection

Subhanal-ladhi sakhkhara lana hadha wa ma kunna lahu muqrinin, wa inna ila rabbina lamunqalibun

Glory be to Him who has subjected this to us, and we could never have accomplished it by ourselves. And indeed, to our Lord we will return.

Quran 43:13

Last Two Verses of Al-Baqarah

Amanar-rasulu bima unzila ilayhi mir-rabbihi wal-mu'minun. Anta mawlana fansurna 'alal-qawmil-kafirin.

The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and so have the believers. All of them have believed in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messengers, saying: we make no distinction between any of His messengers. And they say: we hear and we obey. Grant us Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the final return. Allah does not burden a soul beyond its capacity. It receives what it has earned, and it bears what it has brought upon itself. Our Lord, do not take us to task if we forget or fall into error. Our Lord, do not lay upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, do not burden us with what we have no strength to bear. Pardon us, forgive us, and have mercy upon us. You are our Protector, so grant us victory over the disbelieving people.

Quran 2:285

Dua of Entrusting the Soul
